Steve has worked in the Pacific Northwest for many years conducting applied and basic research on the Columbia River Basalt Group and the tectonics of the Columbia Basin. He is a recognized expert on the stratigraphy of the Columbia River basalt and has published numerous articles and geologic maps on these topics. His expertise includes geotechnical, vadose zone, and groundwater well logging; hydrogeologic characterization and monitoring of sediment and basalt aquifers, and geologic mapping.
