Since 2001, GSI personnel have conducted aquifer and baseline geologic analysis studies and well information database compilation for the Columbia River Basalt aquifers of the GWMA. This work has led to the evaluation of several thousand well logs, dozens of core holes, and numerous outcrop measured sections. With these data, the lateral continuity and potential hydraulic connections between various aquifers have been evaluated. The results of this work are being used by many GWMA stakeholders to better understand the physical framework of Columbia Basin aquifer systems.
