Water Supply Planning

Prineville, Oregon

The City of Prineville is experiencing a severe water supply shortage. GSI is assisting the City with addressing both short-term and long-term water supply needs. GSI led a successful effort to site and install a new 1,000-gpm production well for the City. One of GSI’s senior hydrogeologists is leading a water supply committee formed by the City that includes staff, the mayor, and a city councilor. Issues being evaluated include water rights availability, mitigation, proximity to infrastructure, consistency with long-term planning goals, and cost.
