environmental management services GSI’s technical expertise, experience, and excellent relationships with regulatory agencies help our clients to effectively address environmental challenges. GSI has a wide variety of environmental project management and permitting experience, including working on several Superfund sites involving contaminated soil and groundwater. Our staff is experienced in all elements of federal and state remedial investigations and feasibility studies, including voluntary and independent cleanup programs.

We provide regulatory strategy development; environmental monitoring; sediment characterization and fate and transport modeling; litigation support; and monitoring and management of stormwater projects, including groundwater protectiveness demonstrations for underground injection control (UIC) systems. GSI also provides design and implementation of innovative remediation projects, including enhanced in situ bioremediation of tricholoroethylene (TCE) in soil and groundwater, soil vapor and groundwater extraction systems, soil excavation, sediment capping, and building demolition.

GSI also provides municipal water supply protection services for communities that are facing water supply contamination issues. Our staff helps cities and towns identify the extent of the contamination and the source of the contaminants, and assists in developing strategies for effectively dealing with water quality compliance, liability, and public information concerns. We also assist communities with developing water quality protection plans, ordinances, and public education programs.
